Alaska and the Dempster Highway

All the men wimped out, and my sister, a friend and I left Haines. Alaska, traveled to Whitehorse, Canada, on to Dawson City and up all 465 miles the Dempster Highway to Inuivik, 125 miles above the Arctic Circle. It was a glorious trip. I took these photos with my brand new Canon  EOS-3. I still miss Kodachrome.

A friendly face when we stopped for gas on the way to Inuivik.

A rushing  Stream

every part of our journey had something interesting to see and experience.

The McKenzie River and its delta is one of the largest in the world.  It flows in the Artic Ocean.
